Helping Mom Decorate the Tree

Mom and Pop took a drive without us and came back with a real tree!  Tabitha and Woody were the most enthused of all of us. Tabitha went right up to it and stuck her face in the branches.  Must smell nice to her! This is Woody's first tree. He just ran around under the tree and got all excited.

The older cats slept thru it all - been there done that! Besides it was cold and windy and a better day for snuggling.

Darby was the only one who zipped here and there while Mom trimmed the tree.  Mom had all she could do not to trip over her!  A very diligent snoopervisor! All the ornaments are non breakable, mostly hand made and very colorful.  Mom collects them from all over - a lot of them are from Mexico! Last year was so snowy and icy before Christmas that she was not able to get the ornament boxes out of the storage unit and had to make all her tree decorations! She made sure she got them all out extra early this year.

There is still time to do your holiday shopping on our Wildcat Woods Vintage Treasures blog - this month we will be donating 20% of sales to Chrystal of Winnie's Wish towards a new cat shelter. Lots of neat items -  new ornaments, jewelry, books, and more. Please stop by Jan's Funny Farm Fair too for great gift ideas! Her blog helps provide money for all her dogs and cats!

If you haven't picked up our online holiday card - please do.  Ann of Zoolatry offered to downsize the photo to fit better in the sidebar so you have a choice today. From top to bottom - large size, next is 300 px and then 225 px. Mom will be putting all of yours on the sidebar this week - we hope!  She is just getting sloppy about keeping up with the blog! Claims she has too much to do cuz of the holiday!  Sure Mom, whatever you say.....

Non-breakable ornaments? Kind of takes the fun out of it, doesn't it? No wonder the older cats slept through putting up the tree.

Your tree looks awesome!! We just got a tree for the first time in awhile and our Mom is worried (with good reason) that we'll try to climb it!

What a gorgeous tree and what a great idea to make your own ornaments. Kitties can't break those. Woodie looks so happy to have a tree around. Our Mom needs to get off her behind and get a tree up for us.
Take care and have a great week.

Yeah, I totally skipped a tree this year because I now have 5 cats and two are very curious kittens who would knock it over!! Very Cute!

What a lovely tree! We wish you the merriest and the happiest holiday!

Your tree is wonderful! We love those ornaments...ours, too, are non-breakable.

It's been years since the mom had a real tree -- our city doesn't pick them up anymore, for disposal, so you have to haul them to the recycle place yourself. A bit difficult without a vehicle! LOL.

Anyway, your tree truly is magnificent. Well done!

Your mom is very artistic to make the tree look so pretty - what a shame you didn't help her!!

Your tree is very lovely. We had some fun helping decorate our tree. We wanted to say thank you very much for the encouraging words for our Rudy Toots, it really means a lot to us.
Smoochies to all of you!

We love your Christmas card and added it to our Ecard Christmas page....now that Blogger has all these extra pages, we thought that would be a purrfect page for ecards...cuz we could display them in a larger size than in our sidebar!!!!!!!!

We luvsy'all bunches and bunches.

Your tree is so pretty. I love the kitties who just slept through it all. Sounds like the kitties here.

Your Christmas card is so cute! I'm going to have to figure out how to display Christmas cards. I've read on other blogs too about this. It's such a cute idea.

Your tree looks lovely all decorated -- even Darby thinks, so, obviously! I'm sure the other kitties will be around sniffing it out later. There's nothing like the smell of fresh pine.

Oh what a pretty tree you have! And so smart that the ornaments are non-breakable!Ours are that kind too. And oh, our mom can sympathize with your mom about having to avoid stepping on someone who is zipping around - she has been having a lot of that at our house too!

Sounds like an exciting time at your house. Certainly a beautiful tree. And we like your card. We've got to get ours done. Jan claims no time too. Humans!

Thanks for mentioning JFF Fair. We're all headed to a warm bed now. It's cold.
