Forever Friday with Katie

Katie is two years old and a sweet, outgoing girl wanting to be part of any and everything going on in the house. Since arriving in foster care she has discovered that playing with cats other than her sister, Taffy, can be great fun.

Katie has proven quite tolerant of dogs even if they're a little annoying. Her gregarious nature would make her a good fit for any home, including those with younger children.

Katie arrived in rescue when her family was no longer able to keep her because of pet restrictions. Katie is adoptable through a great organization called Alley Cats and Angels in the Raleigh area of NC. What makes them unique is that they will rescue feral cats and find homes for them. Let's help them find a great forever home for Katie! Share this on Facebook or Twitter!

UPDATE
Beautiful black Bella from the Asheville Humane Society was adopted. Another one off to her forever home!

Oh thank you so much for raising more awareness for Katie (and Taffy). They are two super sweet girls. We originally met them when we sponsored their spay and vaccinations on our 2010 Spay Day. They were "taken in" by a family that lives in very low-income housing but the cats couldn't be brought inside because of the pet deposit of $200 per pet. The family wanted to do the right thing so we paid to get them spayed and were trying to help with the pet deposit (except it was soo expensive) when animal control picked up the cats. It was with much tears that the family surrended the cats to us. They truly loved these girls. In the winter, they would put the cats in the car at night with blankets and litterbox so they would have shelter. They were doing all they could for these girls. I think it was very sweet even if it was not ideal. The family realized it was better for the cats to turn them over to us. It was a brave thing for the family to do. They love Katie and Taffy very much.
