Photo Hunt - Daily

The theme for today is daily! Everyday Mom is woken up by one of us on the bed, poking her or just staring at her. Her first job is to clean the litter boxes (yuck) then get our food ready. This is a time consuming process cuz we all need different vitamins, supplements and medications in our food and have to have our own plate for this. ( All the stuff on the counter is not all for us - Mom and Pop use this stuff too!)

Then Mom goes around the house to find the right cat for each plate of special food. We all eat in our own spot. Aren't we spoiled?

Then it's nap time! Mamacita is all comfy on the chair. She likes to sleep with her head on a pillow.

Hope you enjoyed our Photo Hunt this Caturday! For more like this visit Tn Chick!

Freaky Friday

Sometimes Mom's pictures don't come out that good or at least they are not flattering to us at all....look at this one she took of darling little me..Sweetpea! I look scary with laser eyes and all.

This one is a little better but not great. Come on Mom, get with it! Does your mom take scary photos of you too?

Tabby Tuesday with Tabitha

Guess what? I got to come inside the house to live last week. I had been living int he shelter next to the house. Al was picking on me so much I was getting bladder infections all the time cuz I was afraid to come out to use the litter box. Mom didn't want to move me away from Lily, my catmom and all my brothers and sisters but this was the best thing for me right now.

Mom made me a hidy place under the chair in the bedroom with a box and snugly blanket. My food bowls are right next to me and the litter box is in the bathroom. At first I hid under the bed but then I came out after a couple of days and sat in my box.

I knew all the other cats in the house but I had not seen them since we moved last year. They didn't remember me either and there was a lot of hissing and swatting at first but things are getting better.

I come out into the living room now and up on the bed. I love to be petted by Mom and Pop and feel a lot safer inside here away from Al.

Come spring it looks like Mom will have Pop build Al his own house, attached to the shelter. He will be able to visit us under supervision but when no one is with us he will be in his own house. I think we will all be happier that way.

Mancat Monday

Mom missed the fun of Catolympics last week last week cuz she was very sick with a stomach "bug". She will try to visit everybody to catch up.

Rainy Monday here in the mountains. Here's me Joe sleeping soundly with a hint of a smile on my face. Happy Monday to you all

P.S. Friday Feb. 19 was our one year blogoversary...Mom missed it cuz she was resting from being sick so we never did have a celebration. It has been a fun year and we have enjoyed meeting so many cats and cat people on the net! Here's to many more blogging years!

Joey - Our Cuddlebug

I spent many years of my 10 years as a feral living behind our house. Mom took me inside a few years ago because I was getting beat up by some other cat in the neighborhood. I won't tell who.

I always knew I was a lover and not a fighter. I am very sweet and adore my mom. I follow her everywhere (even in the bathroom). When she gets the bed ready at night I love to help her and then when she is all done I just throw myself down on the bed with a big sigh cuz I know I am gonna get some lovin and hugs. That is the best part of my day.

Who could resist me?

Blue Mancat Monday

We are playing Blue Monday today on Mancat Monday. For some reason Albert's got a blueish color in these pictures - maybe the reflection of the snow outside.

We just got power back last night after three days of outage from a snow/sleet and ice storm. The world outside looked like a scene from Narnia! You can see the tree tops bowed under the weight of the ice and snow.

The sun finally came out after the third day and the ice glistened on the trees.

Happy Groundhog Day!

{Alarm Clock 5:59 changes to 6:00} [Music “Then put your little hand in mine. There ain't no hill or mountain we can't climb. Babe, I got you babe. I got you babe.”] “Okay, campers, rise and shine. Don't forget your booties because it's cold out there today. It's cold out there every day. What is this, Miami Beach? … Do you think Phil will come out and see his shadow? Punxsutawney Phil. That's right, woodchuck chuckers. It's Groundhog Day!”

Recognize the scene from the movie? Looks like Punxsutawney Phil saw his shadow so we are in for six more weeks of winter. There is debate that he really did see his shadow but hey, it does look like we will have a whiter than normal winter this year!

Look at all the snow we got this week! Today is rain and sleet and Friday more snow! Phil may be right.

The cats have a nice spot in the sun the day after the snow - peering out the windows. Smidge enjoyed the one day of warm sunshine from her porch before more clouds and rain moved in today.

We will all be glad to see spring come this year. For more Cats on Tuesday visit Gattina!
